Our new tools guide you through everything the Circular Cities and Regions Initiative (CCRI) has to offer! Find information and support for your city or region and discover relevant services that foster circularity in Europe.

Countries: EU-27

The CCRI Compass helps you navigate the CCRI’s comprehensive support

The CCRI Compass is a new navigation tool designed to guide users through the knowledge resources and support services offered by the CCRI.

This tool offers information and resources organised to help you quickly identify circular economy support needed for your city or region.

The CCRI Compass aims to point users in the right direction, categorising our expansive support and into three areas: ‘Knowledge’, ‘Exchange’, and ‘Support’. You can also sort the support according to key sectors and value chains.

Knowledge: Dive into inspiring stories, tools and guidance

The Knowledge section of the Compass includes all the CCRI’s informational knowledge products, including the CCRI Methodology and other guides, the CCRI Self-Assessment Tool, CCRI success stories and case studies.

Many more resources from partner projects and initiatives relevant to the CCRI community can be found in the CCRI Knowledge Hub

Exchange: Join in peer learning and networking opportunities

Featuring the CCRI Communities of Practice, Thematic Working Groups, the Mentoring Programme, and the Twinning Programme, the Exchange area will help you discover and connect with like-minded projects, cities and regions that are on parallel circularity journeys and facing similar issues.

Build partnerships with relevant projects and share knowledge with peer cities and regions through the Compass’ Exchange area.

Support: Access advisory and technical assistance

The Support section includes CCRI capacity-building activities, tailored support for pilots, circular economy advisory programmes from official CCRI partners (EIB and Green Assist), and more.

If you need help with your circular economy project, the Support area shows the full help the CCRI offers.

Explore the CCRI Map: Charting the growth of its community

Accompanying the CCRI Compass is the CCRI Map, a new interactive map that plots the CCRI beneficiaries across Europe.

The Map allows users to explore the growing CCRI community of 142 cities and regions by zooming into a map of Europe.

The CCRI Map offers an overview of circular economy initiatives, enabling users to sort CCRI beneficiaries and their solutions by country, beneficiary type (city, province, region, territorial cluster), targeted sector or value chain and supporting CCRI project and/or partner.

This makes the Map useful to both stakeholders seeking to identify relevant circular solutions and for CCRI Projects to connect based on similar regional contexts or challenges.

Showing the growth of CCRI Projects, the CCRI Map highlights the significant progress being made towards circularity and sustainability across Europe.
