E-Learning module on Innovative and Responsible Public Procurement

This e-learning module is designed by the Urban Agenda Partnership and it is a public procurement tool that can help public authorities solve challenges that cities and regions are dealing with. The target group of this e-Learning module include: procurers; managers; budget holders; policy advisers; local politicians; and everyone who is interested in public procurement as a strategic tool that can help to achieve circular economy.
Relevance for Circular Systemic Solutions
The e-learning module on innovative and responsible public procurement dives into the following subjects: building a procurement strategy including circularity, procuring circularly, setting up local cooperation centers that could be important in exchanging circular knowledge and experience, designing a broker for innovation, public procurement to procure innovative circular solutions, providing funding of circular procurement through the most relevant financing opportunities, putting the legal framework into practice, and measure the spend and broader impact. This e-learning can be used as a tool to gain understanding of the different parts of procurement, but also provides actions to responsibly procure. This tool can help cities, regions, public procurers to understand how to procure circularly. Utilizing circular public procurement at local/regional level can support the uptake of Circular Systemic Solutions.
