DEFINITE-CCRI/CircularInvest event (EU Green Week)
Updated on 28.02.2024
This webinar explored linkages and concrete actions that should be considered by investors and project owners when developing circular and a long-lasting, place-based skills and workforce.
Relevance for Circular Systemic Solutions
This event can help cities/regions with the questions of ‘What role can local authorities play in fostering circular economy upskilling and reskilling of the workforce? What can financiers do to support? What are the main bottlenecks, and what potential solutions?’. Cities and regions can make use of insights provided both during presentations, and the following discussion rounds where different challenges and trends in education and policymaking are discussed on how to overcome the skills gap needed for a circular economy, as well as how to address the financial obstacles along the way. These insights can help cities/regions in creating a more holistic approach in their CSS by involving both the education, policymaking, and the finance aspect of the transition to circular workforces.
