HOOP Circular Bioeconomy Hub
Updated on 30.07.2024
The Bioeconomy Hub provides resources and tools to improve the valorisation of biowaste and wastewater by cities and regions

Relevance for Circular Systemic Solutions
On this platform, cities and regions can explore the HOOP network, make use of publicly available evaluation methods for their bio-circularity levels, valuation of circular projects, or project maturity levels. The platform also offers other tools such as the Best Practice Atlas, GHG Emissions Calculator for biomass usage, Circular Design, and so many more relevant tools for cities and regions. The platform can also be used to access many valuable learning materials on, among others, waste collection and valorisation, engaging stakeholders, implementing, developing, and evaluating projects. As such, the platform can be used by cities and regions invested in circular bioeconomy in all phases of their CSS deployment.
How to use this tool or method
This online hub can be fully enjoyed by HOOP network members, which are mainly public authorities and waste management companies, among others. Users can join or create a city/region to have full access to certain features like contacting other cities/regions directly. However, non-members can also access most of the content on the website. Users can choose to navigate the website easily through the menu on the top of the page to 'network', 'evaluate', 'learn', or try the 'tools', as well as getting updates on the project and its events.
