Agro2Circular: Good Practice Directory for Circular Economy in the agrifood sector

AGROFOOD MURCIA has developed the Directory of Best Practices in Circular Economy to showcase successful CE initiatives. The directory compiles examples from the Agro2Circular project, as well as national and international best practices, providing a clear overview of current strategies and future opportunities for revalorizing agri-food by-products and waste.

Relevance for Circular Systemic Solutions

The Directory targets value chains in the agrifood industry, including agriculture, food processing, packaging, cosmetics, and nutraceuticals. It showcases 30 practical case studies demonstrating how by-products and waste from the agrifood sector can be transformed into value-added products through recovery, reuse, and technological innovation, offering cities and regions actionable blueprints to replicate or adapt based on local conditions.


These insights are particularly relevant to the “design” and “implementation” stages of a Circular Solution, as they inform collaboration frameworks, policy alignment, and investment planning by showing where value can be captured.
