An interview with Tomas Hemmer-Hansen, Project Lead, Circular Economy Beyond Waste in Central Denmark.
What attracted you to join the CCRI?
We have more than 10 years of experience working on the circular economy, and we are very curious to learn more from other actors across EU as well as test our own ideas on other organisations in the network.
What are you hoping to achieve by participating as a Fellow?
The Central Denmark Region sees the CCRI as a perfect initiative for exploring possible new partnerships and solutions across the EU in relation to circular economy, because we know it is the right way forward.
What circular economy experience can you bring to the CCRI community?
The Central Denmark Region is lead partner in a major LIFE Integrated Project, Circular Economy Beyond Waste, focusing on the circular economy linked to the waste sector. Furthermore, we are working with the circular economy at a strategic level internally in the region and engaging in cross-national and international networks on the theme.
