#LIFEBIOBEST workshop: Bio-waste breakthrough – Learning from European pioneers to improve your local system

This March, Association of Cities and Regions for sustainable Resource management (ACR+), Consorzio Italiano Compostatori (CIC), Zero Waste Europe (ZWE), European Composting Network (ECN), ENT foundation (ENT), Zero Waste France, and their local partners invite you to the LIFE BIOBEST workshop in Lyon from 13-14 March. This one-and-a-half-day event will provide insight and effective tools to implement efficient municipal bio-waste management systems, thereby opening the potential for biogas generation and creating nutrient-rich compost for healthier soils.

Who should attend?
- Elected officials and technicians from French municipalities launching or improving their bio-waste collection systems and overcome barriers and local challenges;
- Waste company representatives, civil society members, and academia interested in local bio-waste management.

- Discover Europe’s best practices in bio-waste collection and recycling, drawing inspiration from the success stories of recognized frontrunners;
- Gain exclusive insights into LIFE BIOBEST guidelines for bio-waste collection, incentives, and engagement;
- Engage in in-depth discussions with European frontrunners on how to overcome regulatory barriers and local challenges;
- Join the LIFE BIOBEST Supporting Stakeholder Network and connect with experts and committed officials from across the EU.

Participation is free of charge – only travel and accommodation costs must be covered by participants.
Important Details:
- Please note that the working language of the event is French, with some speakers giving presentations in English. Translation will be provided for participants between English and French.
- One-and-a-half-day event: March 13 (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM) to March 14 (9:00 AM – 1:00 PM).
- Site visit showcasing bio-waste collection/treatment on the morning of the last day, March 14.
- Lunch provided on the first day.
