CCRI hands-on online workshop series: from ambition to action
Published on 14.04.2026
From peer exchange to practical action
You’re not alone! Cities and regions across Europe are facing similar challenges - at different stages and in different contexts - when implementing the circular transition. Over the past year, CCRI communities of practice have brought practitioners together to openly share what works, what doesn’t, and where they get stuck.
This CCRI online workshop series builds directly on these insights, turning peer exchange into practical, hands-on sessions designed to help you move from ambition to concrete actions - no matter where you are in your transition.
First three workshops announced
- 18/05: Unlocking circular incentives, the hidden powers of cities and regions | Based on the community of practice Supporting local circular businesses | Circular Cities and Regions Initiative

FAQs
Is this just another webinar?
No. You will actively work on real cases, explore best practices from across Europe and learn directly from – and interact with – peers. The sessions are designed to give you insights and help you apply them immediately.
Where will the sessions take place?
The sessions take place entirely online. Join from wherever you are. Each workshop takes no longer than two hours and fits easily into a busy week, without the need to travel or block an entire day.
Do I need a lot of experience to participate?
Not at all. Every city or regional practitioner is welcome, even those without extensive experience. You will benefit most if your city or region has taken the first steps in its circular transition or has a circular action plan in motion. You’ll be better placed to connect the content with what you’re working on.
What can I expect?
Everything is rooted in practice. There is no jargon. There are no long lectures or theory segments. Each session focuses on usable tools, frameworks and insights that reflect the realities cities and regions are facing. You will walk away with something concrete ready to apply locally.
Can I join if I’m not (yet) part of the CCRI?
Yes! Participation is open to all city and regional practitioners. Cities and regions outside the CCRI are warmly encouraged to join. It is an easy way to discover the community, connect with practitioners across Europe and become part of a growing community working toward the circular transition.
Do the sessions build on each other?
No. The sessions are fully stand‑alone. Each workshop focuses on one specific theme, shaped by the corresponding community of practice. They do not build on each other, so sign up for the topics that match your role, your interests or the challenges you’re facing right now. Whether you follow a single session or several, you will get complete, practical value each time.
